Getting Help
You will need help with this class! Everyone will. Math is a challenging subject, and this class will ask a lot of you, regardless of your math background. There are many resources available for help, some of which are listed below:
- Help Room: Located in the Classroom building, the help room is open around 40 hours a week from 1-10pm M-Th and 4-10pm Su. It is staffed by TAs, graders, and others. You can go at any time to get help with your work. You can go do homework there and get help when you need it. It’s a great space to have fairly quiet work time with help readily available.
- Office Hours: I will have office hours after class on Monday and Wednesday in Classroom Building 132 (see hours above).
- Individual meetings: I’m available to meet one on one by Zoom to discuss any aspects of the class. Drop me an email! I’m also available for quicker questions before/after class.
- The Academic Resource Center: Duke’s ARC provides multiple layers of support for classes, including peer tutoring, learning consultations, ADHD/LD coaching, and study groups!
- DukeReach: DukeReach can connect you with departments across campus to get you help with physical and mental health concerns. You can also contact Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) directly for counseling services, and reach 24/7 mental health support through Blue Devils Care.
